PowerPlant Mantis Reflector Setup

The PowerPlant Mantis is an innovative, flexible reflector that allows you to adjust the angle at which your light is being reflected. The reflector is simple to assemble and whether you have purchased the single ended or double ended version of the Mantis, the method of assembly is the same.

Firstly, attach the arms of the reflector to the spine, using the screws provided - there is no need to tighten these screws with a screwdriver, just tighten them manually.

Next, take the reflective wings and insert their tabs through the spine of the reflector. Now you need to decide the angle at which you want your light to be reflected.  Line up the bolts at the ends of the reflective wings with the notches in the arms of the reflector.

Positioning the bolts at the top notch gives a wide angle of reflection – this will cover a wider area beneath the reflector.  Positioning the bolts at the bottom notch will gives a very tight angle, meaning that the light being reflected will not cover such a wide area, but it will be more concentrated.

Once you have adjusted the reflective wings and you are happy with their position, remove the protective film.  It is very important that you do this before you use your reflector.

Hang your reflector above your plants using the brackets on top of the reflector.  Make sure the reflector is hung well above the canopy to prevent the plants from getting heat damage.
